ORBITA INTRODUCES "DO-IT-YOURSELF" WATCHWINDERS

The ROTORWIND® winder module makes it easy to design and build a custom winder system for a closet, safe or any special storage area.  They are completely self contained units and operate on low voltage, readily available alkaline batteries.  With battery life measured in years, not months, there is no need for installing any high voltage electrical house wiring.

Installation is both quick and easy.  Using a panel with a thickness of 3/8” (10mm), all that is needed is a bored hole for each module.  The module is inserted from the rear of the panel and held in place with wood or sheet metal screws.

Each module is supplied fully assembled.  All that is required is to connect the two 48” lead wires (red and black color) of each module to a 3 VDC battery holders.  Holders for two (2) ‘D’ cell alkaline batteries are available from Orbita.  As many as four (4) modules can be connected to a single battery holder providing in excess of one year battery life.  For longer battery life, use one holder for two modules.  On/off control is accessible from the front of the panel as is a timing mode switch allowing for normal 10 minute operation or extended battery life 15 minute operation.  AC/DC adapters are also available.

Panels may be mounted vertically or tilted back 5° to 10° for fail-safe operation in the vent that mounting cups are not positioned correctly.  Modules can be mounted on a 4” x 4” grid although a 6” grid (shown in the attached photo) provides adequate space for battery holders.  Operation is virtually silent and there is absolutely no maintenance required.  Modules are guaranteed for 2 years operation but are designed to easily provide 8-10 years of life without attention.  Dimensioned mounting drawings are available at www.orbita.com.
