LUXURY WATCHWINDER PROVIDES STORAGE

ORBITA’S top-of-the-line Ascona Quattro combines in one elegant unit, a four head automatic watchwinder together with an eight-watch storage drawer. The case, handcrafted in Switzerland, is covered in brown or green calfskin with 24-karat gold accents. The full case interiors are padded with luxurious NAROKA suede lining in matching colors. The case features unique “gull-wing” doors that open easily to reveal the four-head watchwinder within, facilitating loading and unloading.

Each pair of rotating heads is programmable so that any Swiss Automatic watch produced over the past 50 years can be wound efficiently and automatically, with no fear of overwinding. Keeping fine watches “exercised” this way prevents migration or congealing of watch lubricants…insuring continuing accuracy and lessening the need for periodic cleaning and overhaul. ORBITA is the first American manufacturer of Watchwinders and the only one worldwide providing user-selectable, micro processor – based controls for turns per day (TPD), rotation direction, automatic reversing… and most recently, an added feature, the BATTERY ALERT which signals low battery voltage before batteries run down and impact performance (patent pending).

The Ascona Quattro winder operates on readily available alkaline storage batteries (DC power). From one to four battery cassettes, each using four “C” alkaline cells provide power. Of course the more batteries used, the longer the time before replacement. (With four cassettes -–up to 18 months is possible). If the user prefers, power can also be provided by simply plugging in the supplied AC/DC adapter into any convenient wall plug, thus eliminating the need for batteries altogether.
